FLUOROCARBON COATINGCoating with high weather resistance, low pollution and easy to clean, it features strong resistance to UV and air pollutionFluorocarbon
coatings
  • KOFLUXIt includes KOFLUX for interior and exterior decoration, industrial equipment, and KOFLON, which is widely used in various materials such as cement. It has strong corrosion resistance to UV, air pollution, acid rain, etc. It has good gloss, transparency and flexibility, and features better decorative effect.
  • Fluororesin (PVDF) coatingsFluororesin coating is a kind of high-grade decorative material with super weather resistance, acid and alkali resistance made of polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) resin and acrylic resin plus inorganic composite pigment. According to experiments and practice, it boasts more than 20 years of super weather resistance, and is mainly used in aluminum alloy profiles, aluminum doors and windows, aluminum curtain walls and so on.
  • Principle of PVDF

    ● Fluororesin PVDF used on KOFLUX products is a polyvinyl pyrrolein which a fluorine atom is replaced with a fluorine atom in a fatty hydrocarbon molecular structure.
    ● The fluorine-carbon (F-C) bond between the fluorine (F) and carbon (C) atoms with the largest negative charge is as high as 105.4 kcal/mol, which means that at least 105.4 is required to destroy the fluorine-carbon (F-C) bond. Energy above kcal/mol.
    ● The fluorine-carbon (F-C) bond bonding distance is 1.36A, which is shorter than the carbon-carbon (C-C) bonding distance of 1.54A.Due to the steric hindrance generated by the fluorine atom, the structure is very tight and it is difficult to break the fluorine-carbon (F-C) bond.
  • What is KOFLUX?

    ● KOFLUX is a heat-curing fluorocarbon resin coating promoted by KGE Chemical in the early 1990s. It is a commodity name registered by KGE.
    ● It adopts more than 70% PVDF resin and inorganic pigment with excellent weather resistance to achieve excellent performance in harsh climate change conditions and in polluted urban environments.
    ● It fully meets all the standards of AAMA (2605.98).Based on more than 20 years of practical applications in various buildings around the world, KGE continues to improve the quality of products. In particular, it has made great progress in solving the external wall surface and the rain marks that have been polluted by automobile exhaust and industrial facilities, and developed and supplied KOFLUX SC (pollution-resistant fluorocarbon coating) called second-generation fluorocarbon coating.
  • Characteristics

    ● The combination of PVDF resin and inorganic pigment can provide super weather resistance for more than 20 years.
    ● With super strong combination of fluorine-carbon bond structure coating, it has excellent durability and wear resistance.
    ● Low surface energy and stable chemical properties make fluorocarbon coatings more resistant to chemicals.
    ● It has very low moisture permeability and good corrosion resistance.
    ● It is cured by heated chemical reaction with good adhesion.
    ● It can meet the needs of modern architecture in various colors.
    ● The non-adhesive nature of the fluorine coating film is easy to maintain and repair.

Only KOFLUX SC has new anti-pollution properties

Low pollutionIt is difficult to attach contaminants on its surface.
Easy to cleanEasy to clean contaminants.
Self-cleaning performanceRemoving pollutants with rain.

  • Spray coating - KOFLUX

    ● The color of existing anodized or tinted aluminum is limited to black and bronze, and it is difficult to obtain a uniform color appearance, especially for aging surfaces.
    ● KOFLUX YJ2443 for spraying is a coating with various colors and excellent durability that can comprehensively solve the above problems.

● The inorganic pigments of orange and red pigment paints have poor weatherability and durability. It is recommended to apply varnish for protective coatings.

● The aluminum pigment in the metallic paint may be oxidized under the action of air pollution, strong acid and strong alkali in the industrial area, and the protective coating shall be varnished.
● Nacreous paint is prone to chromatic aberration as the thickness of the coating changes. In order to obtain a uniform color and gloss, it is necessary to ensure that the coating is uniform.
● When using the 4-spray system, the thickness of the intermediate paint shall be adjusted according to the color of the topcoat.

● As the thickness of the topcoat is changed, the nacreous paint is easy to have color difference. In order to obtain uniform color and luster, the coating must be uniform, and the color of the primer YP130 must match the color of the topcoat.
● Notes on coating KOFLUX SC (anti-pollution KOFLUX):
 1. KOFLUX SC film thickness must be observed to achieve anti-pollution properties.
 2. KOFLUX SC is a two-component product that must be strictly adhered to the mixing ratio of the main agent and the curing agent.
  • KOFLUX energy-saving coating

The energy-saving coating is an infrared-reflecting fluorocarbon coating. It is designed by KGE after dedicated technical R&D and advocacy of "eco-friendly and energy saving" to achieve maximum infrared emission rate without sacrificing the intensity of color after constant technology development and advocacy of "environmental protection and energy saving”.
  • Effectively reducing the energy consumption.

    ● Compared to traditional coatings, they can reduce the temperature of building exterior cooling by 20 degrees Fahrenheit (about 7 degrees Celsius) or lower by reflecting infrared rays, reducing building cooling energy consumption by up to 40%.
    ● This infrared emission coating meets the US Environmental Protection Agency's "Energy Star" regulations (reflecting 25% solar energy).
    ● The product has a variety of colors for users, so it is available in black and brown.
  • It can prolong the service life of metal

The use of the product will maintain the temperature of the outdoor metal building structure within a certain range, and can effectively prevent the metal from causing warpage, bolt bending, component damage, and fading, tarnishing, elasticity reducing, etc. in the thermal expansion and contraction, thereby extending its service life.
